P orbital and cycloaddition
« on: February 27, 2013, 06:09:06 PM »
Hello I need some assistance with the following question

Cycloadditions are one class of several reaction types which are governed by the role of TT-orbital symmetry. Give a simple description in words of the role of the p-orbital/TT-orbtial symmetry in determining whether a cycloaddition reaction will work or not under thermal conditions.

Cheers

Google food: Diels-Alder Reaction
Study the mechanism and it's stereoselectivity
