Some of the older organic chemistry texts start out with a simple ID test for each general class of organic molecule, and a textbook will often describe the various large biomolecules in the later chapters of the textbook. However, estradiol is a large complex molecule, and quick identification may not be easy. You may have to really analyze for structure.
What do you know about the structure of estradiol that you will have to test for? What application do you need it for?
