Calculate the Concentration
« on: March 06, 2013, 11:09:11 AM »
the total volume of the solution is 11 mL. The solution contains .100mL of C-14, .800 mL of water, 10 mL of scintillation cocktail and .100 mL CNCbl.
CNCbl is 1365 g/mol, the stock solution is 0.200 mM.

I need help calculating the concentration of CNCbl.

so here's what i did so far, not sure if its right.

0.200 mM = .0002 M

i used the dilution formula: M1V1=M2V2
so; 0.0002M x (1x10^-4 L)  = M x 0.011 L
solving for M2, i got 1.818 x 10^-6
