I know this might seem like a stupid question, but is this an addition reaction? Sorry. i'm new at this. Also, can anyone give any tips on predicting products of reactions?

This is a cyclopropanation reaction by dichlorocarbene, formed by the reaction of chloroform and strong base, with the C=C.

So I suppose you could call it an addition reaction.
Predicting the products of reactions requires a very good knowledge of, in this case, organic chemistry.

Cyclopropanation. Thank you. And I am trying harder to develop a better knowledge of organic chemistry. But I need a lot of practice
