Acid - Base Titration Concept

Hey all,
So what does it mean if an acid is titrated with a base? Does it mean the acid is in the buret and the base is in the beaker, or the other way around? Thanks!

When an acid is titrated with a base, the base is added to the acid. So the base is in the buret and the acid is in the beaker.
