I would guess than mrich33 wants someone with formulation experience to get into the business of making imitation products of 3M.  The presumed intention would be to make an inexpensive product to undercut some of 3M's market share-without, of course, violating any patent laws.

I was an intern at a lab where we invented a process for making sandpaper with diamond in it.   Which was then sold to 3M for lots of money.

I think they met the purge criteria on 1/1/2006. Since they had a post they were put in guest status rather than just removed from the member list. There is another purge in sometime in June 2006. Somewhere the criteria are posted. It has to do with very few posts and no activity for months.
