70.0 g of an aqueous solution that is 2.00% sucrose, C12H22O11, by mass. is
___ mols.
Caffeine (C8H10N4O2) is a stimulant found in coffee and tea. If a solution of caffeine in chloroform (CHCl3) as a solvent has a concentration of 0.0750 m, calculate the following.
(a) the percent caffeine by mass %
(b) the mole fraction of caffeine
Any help on how to even set these up. I tried the first one by doing 2/342 to get mols of sucrose and also tried 1.4/342 since 1.4 is 2% of 70. Neither answer was correct. On the second problem I have no idea how to set it up considering I'm only giving the molalilty and no other variables. I'm not given the grams, mols, or percent of either 1 so i have no idea how to do it. Any help on any of these problems would be appreciated.
