Help with vaporizing a non-volitile substance
« on: April 11, 2013, 11:11:41 AM »
I have a non-volitile substance that I need to vaporize and use to make standards.  I know of a few options that would require equipment I do not have yet.  But can I lower the boiling point by creating the standards in a lighter substance than the typical Nitrogen, thus making it possible to have fully vapor standards?  I think this boils down to a basic thermo problem, but it has been a while since I had that and I don't trust my conclusions here.  Thoughts?

More details please.

Standards for what? What substances? What are current boiling points.
