Screen Writer needs some Chemistry Help with Gases (Mustard)

Hello All,

I'm not a chemistry major at all and haven't had a chemistry class since high school so please excuse any ridiculous questions or inappropriate terminology.

Long story short, I'm writing an action feature and need to know what would happen if someone took an intense amount of heat (a flame thrower) to a source of mustard gas ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sulfur_mustard ) that was seeping into a relatively confined area. Would the gas be rendered ineffective or would something else happen? I know its a ridiculous question, but action films are often fraught with ridiculous circumstances (that's what hopefully makes them entertaining :P).

Just by reading the wiki:

1. It doesn't seep so easily, as it is a liquid at room temperatures.

2. It decomposes before boiling at 218 °C (424 °F), so if heated it could be rendered inactive.

3. Note that it acts slowly and in typical cases first signs of poisoning appear after at least several hours (I have a gut feeling it can be an important factor for your action).
