synthesis of 2-methyl-2-pentanol

okay, i'm having trouble with this one.  i need to go from propanone (acetone) to 2-methyl-2-pentanol.  i'm thinking that some organometallic should be used?  maybe grignard?  thanks.

nevermind.  i think i got it.  grignard plus ether.  then protonate.  bingo.

Or just use butyl lithium!  It's cheap.
