Hi, i'm looking for the best method to prepare the chitosan solution in acetic acid for my research.. Which one is better, more chitosan in less amount of acid or less chitosan powder in more amount of acetic acid?

What is the concentration of acetic acid you are going to use?
Are you going to heat the mixture?
I would add the chitosan to the acetic acid in smallish portions.

The main thing with chitosan is that it becomes very viscous very fast, almost a gel, so it clumps and becomes hard to dissolve. Make sure that you are mixing rapidly while adding chitosan powder to the solvent slowly, not the other way around. Solubility is complicated and depends on the MW of the chitosan and degree of deacetylation.

You've gotten some very useful ideas from some people with specific information, but I really don't understand the question:  You've asked an either/or question that basically asks, how much chitosan there should be, and how much acetic acid there should be.  You'll have to decide that depending on the application.  The less chitosan you use, the less you'll have, but surely you knew that.  Too much acid could interfere with your application, but we can't know that with out knowing your application.
