hello,

I do not understand how can I figure out how many substituens the benzene ring contain from the C13 NMR.
first we have to look at range between 110-160 but sometimes I have four picks and the benzene is singal substituted and sometime it  is di-substituted. It is difficult to disguise between high low and medium picks.
Do you have a way to do it?

You should really conduct at DEPT 135 or HSQC experiment if you want to differenciate the quaternaty carbons.
