I think we should not give recipes for explosives here. Fulminates very dangerous already in small amount. Think the fingers are not very strong connected to the hand.

I'm sorry the reaction didn't work out for you, but you'll have to figure out, on your own what went wrong, because we don't discuss explosives manufacture on this forum.  You should, of course, have used the proper reagents, not "similar" ones, and they should have been of decent purity 99%+.  If you have access to the reagents, then you should know to be careful.  And, if you insist on D-I-Y priming cap material -- please look up silver fulminate.  Sounds expensive, but also less toxic than mercury.

And watch your fingers.  It doesn't work like on the TV show Breaking Bad.
Hey, I'm not judging.  I just like to shoot straight.  I'm a man of science.

My friends always ask me if I could make "stuff".  Especially boom stuff.  I always tell them if they try it first I would try second.  They never try it first.

To the person trying to make this:  PLEASE DON'T, pretty please with sugar on top.  It is not safe and if you do mess up with the mercury fulminate and especially silver fulminate, you will hurt yourself.  BADLY.

If you are try not properly trained please do not mess with explosives.
If you're not part of the solution, then you're part of the precipitate
