Gas analyzer calibrations
« on: July 11, 2013, 07:00:11 AM »
Hello! I am using a GFM400 gas analyzer and it gives me 3 calibration options.
Reset factory delta
0.0%
and XX.X% span calibration

I am confused about what these options mean, we have contacted the company and waiting to hear back but may be one of you has used this or similar equipment and can help explain? I figured this would be helpful for future references as well!

Thanks!

You set o.o% using zero air or nitrogen. Then, you calibrate using gas of known XX.X% concentration.

Which gas?

I would suspect it would be the one you expect to analyze  ::)

I can offhand think of a need to report concentrations of O2, H2, Methane, and CO.

Sorry, not obvious to me.

Separately or as a mixture?
