I know it has been awhile since the OP has posted, but I wanted to point out that simply mixing bleach in most common solvent alcohols will not result in any reaction. A fancy catalyst is required for a reaction between bleach and alcohols such as methanol, ethanol or propanols. Alcoholic bleach is well known for improved biocidal behavior, notably, less sitting time is needed to have the same biocidal effectiveness as bleach alone.
A study on the relative effectiveness of buffered methanolic bleach solutions is: Death, J. and Coates, D. Journal of Clinical Pathology, 1979, 32, 148-153.
