Job after graduation in B.E. Chemical Engineering
« on: September 03, 2013, 02:33:00 AM »
I am a 2nd year undergraduate chemical engineering student . Doing chemical engineering from UICET , Panjab University , Chandigarh , India . My ambition is to work in a European company . I've heard that some companies intake students through GRE exam scores and provide them with a good package
(about $330K a year ) .
I am from a poor family and I can't afford to study abroad .  All I can do is study hard .
HELP me , tell me the procedure by which I can complete my ambition (that is to work with a European company )
Thanks

I don't think your numbers are correct. $330,000 pa for a graduate with no experience sounds too good to be true.

in Germany, beginners in Industries ( after complete studies incl. Phd)  can expect in the ballpark of 48,000 Euro /a (approx 64 K US-$ ) before taxes, health insurance , social insurance, annuity assurance ... (which are mandatory here). This will take another approx. 40 % off if you're not married.

net income hence would be like approx 29 K Euro (approx 38 K US-$), with above insurances as "benefit"

Work experience is a valuable way of getting first-hand knowledge of specialised industries. Check out the careers section of company websites for more information. If you are looking for relevant work experience abroad, look at the possibilities available through IAESTE (http://www.britishcouncil.org/iaeste)

What you ought to do is focus on learning. Sigh.  $330k indeed.
