I'm taking Physical Chemistry for the first time and my professor has not assigned a textbook due to their purported ubiquitous reliance on the ideal gas equation.  I was wondering if anyone knows of a textbook that focuses its attention on the behavior of real gases and general equations of state?

Thanks.

Try any good Chemical Engineering Text. Tons of stuff on Real gases, fugacities, EOS etc.

e.g. Smith / Van Ness : Chem. Eng. Thermodynamics.

PS. I don't see his point: 99% of the time ideal gases work fine!
