1. Your data for the calibration curve for the mercury lamp.
2. A plot of your calibration curve for wavelength vs scale reading with linear regression and formula.
3. Your data from the hydrogen emission lamp.
4. Your data from the hydrogen lamp. This should include the scale reading, the wavelength (that you will calculate using an Excel formula and the equation from the calibration curve), and the initial principle quantum number (ni) for the corresponding Balmer series transitions for hydrogen.
5. Determine what you should plot to generate a straight line from your hydrogen emission data (see the equation and information at the end of the procedure). Use Excel formulas to calculate the additional values that you need.
6. A linear plot of your hydrogen data with linear regression and formula.
7. Your calculated Rydberg constant in Joules, which you will determine from the slope of the line.
8. The literature value for the Rydberg constant.
9. The percent error from your measurements.
