carbon tetrabromide workup

A graduate student from another lab asked me just now how to dispose of carbon tetrabromide after a bromination of an aldehyde (IIUC triphenylphosphine was also present).  This is outside of my experience.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  I am not sure about the stoichiometry (sorry).

I assume it is not 100s of L just put it in the organic non-miscible waste and get it incinerated.

in addition:

if this very student did use CBr4 / PPh3 for bromination (Appel rection type conditions), no more CBr4 will be present : it will all have been transformed to  CHBr3 thereafter
