Derivations in P-Chem
« on: November 21, 2013, 03:53:44 PM »
A) Show that (dV/dp)s= - Vκ(Cv/Cp)

B)  For an ideal gas α=(1/V)(dV/dT)p=(1/T)     Show that in generatl if α=1/T then Cp must be independent of pressure, that is (dCp/dp)T=0.

I am not good with deriving equations, especially getting started...so if someone could lead me in the right direction that would be great.

Thanks!
