Quinoline numbering
« on: January 11, 2014, 09:47:14 AM »
In numbering quinoline it starts from the hetero atom (nitrogen),but in the case of  isoquinoline it is not.usually in heterocyclic numbering it starts from hetero atoms but why that rule is not applied in case of isoquinoline.please explain as I am a beginner in org chem.
