My concentration is increasing rather than decreasing!
« on: March 30, 2014, 07:08:50 PM »
Hello

so when i titrated C2H5OH:K2Cr2O7:HCl with Na2S2O3, the more of Na2S2O3 i used, the high the concentration of HCrO4  remaining in flask per each trial

volume i used ( from 0.0049  to 0.0088 L the concentration increased from 0.173 to 0.290),

i calculated my concentration this way 0.354 (my Na2S2O3 concentration)x volume i used per trial = C2x (0.01 L the titrated amount of C2H5OH:K2Cr2O7:HCl)

should not get decreased ?

The way it is worded it sounds nonsensical. Please elaborate on what you did, what you got, and why you think it is wrong.

Too many unfilled blanks at the moment for any reasonable comment.
