Determining reaction order using half-life
« on: May 03, 2014, 04:44:18 AM »
I found this statement:
The reaction order can be determined by measuring the half-life as a function of the concentrations of the reacting species.

How is that true? Isn't the half life independent of concentration?

Isn't the half life independent of concentration?

Only for the exponential decay (which is equivalent to the first order reaction).
