About Negishi coupling workup

In Negishi coupling, we use zinc which may complex with 2,2-bipyridine. Thus we add EDTA to complex with the zinc.

How about the product is pyridine but not 2,2-bipyridine? Still need to add EDTA??

Anyone who had experience before?
