Limited reagents question
« on: March 19, 2006, 08:36:06 AM »
for limited reagents how do you know which compound  goes on top and which one at the bottom for the stoichiometry ratio, e.g hydrogen gas can be produced by the reaction of zinc with hydrochloric acid. If hydrochloric acid containing 2.74g of HCl is added to 3.27g of zinc, calculate the limiting reagent, mass of hydrogen gas produced and mass of excess reagent which remains unreacted. Can you help me with this question please!!!

Edit: please post new questions as separate threads and use reasonably informative subjects instead of "I am so confused". We know you are confused, in order to be able to help you we need to know why you are confused.

You can identify a limiting reagent from a balanced equation after conversion masses or reagents to moles
