4-methoxyphenyllithium
« on: May 29, 2014, 11:00:36 AM »
I have a paper where they produce it in situ from 4-bromoanisole and some silver sodium alloys.  Anything silver is expensive and the procedure itself is a little complex.  I am not against making it, but I figure why not buy already made from a supplier.

The thing is, it isnt sold on sigma.  Is there a reason?  I know it is reactive but so is t-butyl lithium.

Any thoughts on why it may not be available commercially?
If you're not part of the solution, then you're part of the precipitate

I apologize it was sodium-lithium alloy.
