[Limpet Chicken]

Hi guys.

I have been looking for data on alkyl cyanoethyl ketones, in particular, methyl cyanoethyl ketone and methyl cyanoisobutyl ketone and found absolutely zip, nowt, nada on their properties, mainly I'm interested in any possibly toxicity which I would think would be quite high, syntheses, LD50's, also, synthesis starting from methyl ethyl ketone or methyl isobutyl ketone would be appreciated,

Maybe bubbling HCN gas through the starting ketones would prove sufficient, however I don't at the moment have any alkali cyanides, and don't particularly find preparing them a pleasant thought so I don't want to experiment and try at the moment, HCN gives me the willies!
