I'm not even sure what kind of chemist I need to speak with, but I want to create my own formulation of stabilizing resin for wood. Stabilizing small wood blanks means placing dry wood (below 7%MC) in a vacuum chamber, pulling 30Hg and introducing the resin into the chamber. After a period of time - generally when no more bubbles are coming out of the wood - the wood is removed and placed in an oven for curing.

There are some off-the-shelf variants but I do not know how to track them down, and am not crazy about any of them anyway. Specifically the curing temp for them is roughly 190F for 1 hour and I'd like shorten that if possible.

It appears what I am looking for is a MMA (Mixed Methacrylate Esters) or methyl ester of methacrylic acid.

Does anyone know of a company that specializes in this type of chemicals?
