mo diagramm
« on: September 14, 2014, 06:18:52 PM »
Hi people

So my current problem is drawing the mo diagramm of an AH2 molecule such as CO2 !
I have no idea what I hav to do with those two O's.. I have read a couple of things in books but honestly this whole theory drivel doesnt help me out a bit ! And I was hoping I would find here a student who is able to explain to me how to draw a mo diagramm like this in an easy way cause I start to get desperate =( !

thank u!

Hi Plumbum,

Googles gives one million hits with
"carbon dioxide" "molecular orbital"

including the step-by-step
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Molecular_orbital_diagram
which has a section for CO2.
