Hello billnotgatez
Sorry for that.
I know that copper(I) oxide which is dissolved in water forms Cu(I) ions as well as extremely reactive O
2- ions. These ions react with water to OH
- ions which change the pH value. So, the solubility of salts depends on the pH.
Cu2O + H2O
Cu
+ + 2OH
-Furthermore: Kps=c(Cu(II))*c(Cu(I))²
c(CU(I))=sq root[Kps/c(Cu(II))].
c(Cu(I))=3.16*10^-7 mole/l
