Put some effort in the picture.
No ones going to decipher this.

Since these will be a little more complicated, pick one and show us at what point you became lost? (Please don't say at the start. These problems tell us you must have some chemical knowledge. You could pick #3, it looks like the easiest.)

And if you could rotate the picture so it can be seen without the need of turning my head sideways  ;)

thanks

vnstudent:, I rotated and re-hosted the image for everyone's ease of use.  Kindly trouble yourself to read the Forum Rules{click}, we like to see some effort from posters, on this forum.  And no, two posts 45 min apart telling us which one's are easy isn't actually 'work'.

Okay, so you have solved 1 and 3. You should have told us this instead of posting them. Which show us what you have for either 2 or 4 (oh, I mean b or d, it was rotated so I didn't review).

Here is what I like to do.  number carbons FIRST AND FOREMOST.  begin thinking about reactions and functional groups YOU KNOW which, under the correct circumstances, COULD do this transformation/reaction.....then count carbons again and see if you see the reaction.  But you first must show an attempt...I see one of them, but it is not entirely obvious.  THIS is where O-Chem tests your spacial reasoning ability.  DONT THINK OF ASKING FOR HELP AS A WEAKNESS.  The office hour rats are always the kids who end with A's in the discipline.
