empirical formula
« on: February 05, 2015, 11:11:01 AM »
compound X contains only carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen and chlorine. when 1.00g of X is dissolved in water and allowed to react with excess AgNO3, all the chlorine in X precipitates and 1.95g of AgCl is collected. when 1.00g of X undergoes complete combustion, 0/900g of CO2 and 0.735g of H2O are formed.
What is the empirical formula of X?
