synthesis: enantiomers

When I am doing a synthesis problem, and the method I used also forms the enantiomers of the desired product, is that a huge problem? I couldn't think of an alternative method that wouldn't do that :(

You should check with your instructor to be sure, but in almost all cases it is not a problem unless the question specifically asks you to make one enantiomer.
