Hello, did i predict the product correctly in the reaction of both a carboxylic acid and an ester with excess LAH? I am not quite sure, i know that the excess LAH reduces them to an alcohol.
Thanks

In you starting material you have a lactone and a ketone.
Your product is missing a carbon atom.
Try google for lithium aluminum hydride reductions.
