Hi,
Given the equation 2A
C, what is the constant of proportionality (k) if C is produced at a rate of 1.0M/hr when 10.0 moles of A are in a 2.0L container.
The first thing I did was to figure out the rate law: R=k[A]^2
However, I am stuck at finding the values of R and [A] in order to solve for k.
Would the value of [A] be 5M?
Also, how would I solve for R? Since the amount of A being used is 2 times the amount of C being produced, would the rate of A being used up be 2.0M/hr? How is this all related to R?
Thanks. All help is very much appreciated!
