 I use "De-Solv-It" brand cleaner to remove grease and adhesives around the house.
 Knowing it's flammable, I used as an alternative firestarter, and while the effects were what I wanted, the health effects took me by surprise. One whiff of the fumes made me feel woozy within a seconds, and a headache soon followed. I've used De-Solv-It for many years and never had an issue, what chemical does it create when burning that could effect me so quickly?

Go to the website http://www.desolvit.co.uk/ Look on the page for the particular product you are using (there are many). Look for the line "For safety data sheet click here" and click on it. This will tell you what hazardous chemicals are present.
You should not use such products for other than their intended purpose. Don't use flammable chemicals as firestarters unless they are designed for that use.
