Blocked Microfluidic Chips
« on: May 12, 2015, 08:26:47 AM »
Just started my PhD and will be using microfluidic chips a lot. My research is in crystallising hard to crystallise material using nanoseeds in early stage drug development. Lots of the chips I've been given are blocked and I also find it easy to block a chip even with lots of pumping through with solvents that should dissolve the material. Tried sonicating at 80C to try loosen it up but it doesn't budge and some channels I cant get any solvent in to dissolve the blockage. Any ideas?

Cheers!

Hi Jeffmoonchop, no idea for your chips, but you may find this fun:
