2,2'-Dithiosalicylic acid Commercial Syntheis
« on: June 04, 2015, 08:44:56 AM »
How is Dithiosalicylic acid commercially synthesized? Or what are likely commercial routes.

I came across several patents that refer to it as a "cheap, readily available starting material" but could not find any that describe its synthesis. (Indeed it seems commercially available at approx. $8/kg)

Thanks! Dumb me. I ignored this as a synthesis of THIOSALICYLIC. I missed that the n -1 reagent is the dithiosalyclic.  >:(
