I was just banned for asking how to dry KF*2H2O
« on: June 16, 2015, 11:58:20 AM »
Hey,

My IP address seems to have just been banned. Just joined to ask how to dry KF dihydrate, as I would think it would decompose into KOH and KF with liberated HF.

Anyway, I tried a couple of machines behind our gateway, and they were all blocked, hence the conclusion my ip was blocked.

The class c network is 71.120.240, with mine being one of those.

Any reason for this?

To be honest, I have no idea what you are talking about.

71.120.240.* is not on our ban list.

As far as I can tell it is also not a class C address.

The page says

"Forbidden

You don't have permission to access / on this server.

Additionally, a 403 forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."

I get this on every computer on the network that I try.

I have cleared the cookies, restarted the machines, etc. all to no avail.

I am able to use my phone, which is how I am posting.

And the three octets that I provided would constitute a class c network of 256 addresses. :)

OK, I know what have happened. You were not banned, but triggered one of the antiabuse filters. Try now.

And yes, you are right about the c class, brain fart. But it looks like all these computers have the same IP, perhaps they are behind NAT.

Yes, it's a NAT'd network. :)

Thank you!

I will try not to activate the anti-abuse filters again...
