Hi,
I have a question for specialists working with fossil fuels: How important is a variation of 2 MJ/kg for the heating value of a fuel?

Ok, back to the basics.
One rule of thumb is to decompose your gas/fuel in all the compounds, then keep in mind that methane(gas) = 890Kj/mol and for every additional CH
2
add 660 Kj/mol. It should be a good aproximation
