I believe you have to be accreditted or enrolled in a chemistry degree program.  i.e. Have or be working towards getting a B.Sc. (Chem).

And it can't be overemphasized that consistently good-quality posts are essential.  For example, one time I suggested to make a paintball grenade with glass in it.  That's obviously a foolish idea.  Albert (and other staff members, like Mitch, Borek, etc) set a good example will all their replies; they are always knowledgable and well-researched (safe too!)

Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
3. Forum Supports LaTex
