Synthesis rxn

Is the following synthesis reaction correct? If not, can anyone tell me where the mistakes are or suggest another way of doing it? Thank you

After the first step, alkylation, I think you can carry out an SN1 reaction with a mixture of water and propanone. Then you have an alcohol you can oxidize using CrO3 and sulphuric acid. That's it.  ;)
