I'm reading up on osmotic coefficient and I sat and could not figure out why the same osmotic coefficient used for both freezing point depression and osmotic pressure. Some who can explain it to me.

Osmotic pressure coefficient is related with lowering in vapor pressure ...try to analyze this statement to get your answer.
