Does anyone out there know: if I leave my Container of wed out and allow it to room temp, and then weight out what I need, will the EDC degrade significantly as it warms up to RT?

Given that EDC is typically shipped at room temperature it is probably fine. Letting the EDC warm to room temp before opening is important to avoid condensation of moisture from the air inside the container, which would lead to degradation of the EDC.

Why is this reagent commercially available as free base as well as HCl salt? I have seen peptide and peptide like couplings being done using both. In what circumstance should one choose one over the other?
