Synthesizing maltodextrin

I'd like to learn how to better understand how to do a "partial" hydrolysis on starch to produce maltodextrin for plant tissue culture. Could anyone please help?

It is probably an enzymatic process.
Why not ask Professor Google, try maltodextrin as a keyword.
