In my grade 12 chemistry course, we are taking cyclics as sidechains. I asked my around and I heard that cyclics cannot exist as sidechains due to angle strain and the fact that they are more stable than straight chains? Is this true or can cyclics be sidechains to straight chains if the straight chains have more double bonds ect...?
