Actually, to be more specific, can this cause permanent eye damage if it gets into the eye?

You might not get many responses because it is against the forum rules for us to discuss medical matters, which this sort of is.

That said, the FDA controls sunscreen and I imagine they wouldn't let companies sell products that easily damage your eyes. And companies wouldn't even want to sell stuff like that.

That said, be prudent. Don't spray chemicals directly into your eye. If you're worried about applying sun protection to your face, close your eyes while using this stuff. Or use a more traditional rub-on product.

It is well known that many suffer allergies from ingredients in sunscreens..  Usually it is girls with sensitive skin. but can be an actual allergy for many. Some are allergic to lanolin, which is in a lot of creams, and the new UV absorbers which are supposed to be pretty inert still cause skin inflammation and reddening with some people.
