what types of molecules are used to make soap, and what kind of molecul is soap itself?

will the fatty acid produced by the reaction of acid and soap dissolve in water?
will the sulfonic acid formed fromt he detergent dissolve in water?

i've answered all the questions in my lab but i really dont know these threee plzzz help
