Best way to study for Carboxylic Acid Derivatives?
« on: March 11, 2016, 06:03:42 PM »
I apologize in advance for this obscure question but I am just free balling here to get some opinions. I'm currently in Organic Chem 2 and I use the David Klein Wiley book. Chapter 20 and 21 are Aldehydes and Ketones, and Carboxylic Acids and their Derivatives, respectively. I have a test coming up next week and was wondering if anyone had any good tips on how to effectively approach this material? For the first test I outline the chapters assigned to the test and studied off that but it didn't seem to be too effective. Any recommendations? Example) "I would just study the reactions and their reagents" or "I would learn these few mechanisms and learn how they apply to a variety of reactions" etc.
