I am struggling to determine a series of reactions that will take place using a sequential extraction method and wonder if someone can tell me if my reaction schemes are correct or where i can find information to help me figure this out:
1. Calcite + sodium acetate (buffered with acetic acid)
(CaCO3), + CH3COONa (CH3COOH) > Ca(C2H3O2)2 + NaOH + CO2
2. Dolomite + sodium acetate (buffered with acetic acid)
CaMg(CO3)2, + CH3COONa ((CH3COOH)) > Ca(C2H3O2)2 + Mg(C2H3O2)2 NaOH + CO2
3. Ferric hydroxide + 0.25M Hydroxylamine hydrochloride Iron(II) + Water, Nitrogen gas and chloride.
Fe(OH)3 + HONH2·HCl 4H+ + 2H2O + N2 + 2Fe2+ + 2Cl-
4. Magnetite: Fe3O4(s) + 8 HCl(aq) → FeCl2(aq) + 2 FeCl3(aq) + 4 H2O
5. This reaction has the addition of sodium chlorate, HCl and HNO3
2ZnS + 2NaClO3 + 4HCl→2ZnCl2 + S0 + Na2SO4 + 2H2O + Cl2(g)
